We need to talk about this.

I write a weekly letter, come along for the ride

Whenever I go to brunch with my girlfriends, it always starts out the same way “We need to talk about…”. Sometimes it’s about some brotato who mansplained something painfully simple to one of us, cut it out Brad. Sometimes it’s political. What the fuck did he just tweet? Sometimes it’s just something funny that made us pee a little, or a breakthrough we’ve had in our personal lives. I love these conversations. They lift me up, make me laugh, and give me life.

2018 has been rough for progressives. Trump is separating children from their families at the border and tweeting terrifying threats and nonsense. We’re finally booting a small % of abusers from some industries. Doug Ford just got elected with a bloody majority. It’s a dumpster fire.

A friend once told me I write best when I’m angry, so, uh, 2018 has been a wealth of material. I didn’t know 6 months could also somehow be 67 years. I decided to channel the extra energy into a weekly comedy, feminism, and culture letter called We Need To Talk About This. In the letter, we get into a few things we need to talk about, and it gets sassy. Then we explore some ways to lift ourselves up. I want to leave you feeling informed, fired up, and a little less alone.

Watching this community grow has been so fucking cool. This is your invitation to join us, we’re in this shit together.
